This is completely different from what OP wrote. The OP complaint is that
Navigator uses the *default* position for every new edit window.

Wrong; 4.4. allowed to float Navigator (F5) the same way. Just as 3.3.

And overall: I can't repro the described problem (not saving Navigator's last
position) in any version, including Version: 7.3.2.2 (x64) / LibreOffice
