Open In Writer and the text background colour is the default white everywhere. Possible subsidiary bug - changing background colour in Writer does so for the entire paragraph, not just the selected text. If you want to redact part of a paragraph then the selected words need to be first highlighted (in black), but this automatically changes the text colour to white, so the text colour then needs to be changed back to black.
