Example file from Word 2013
Attached document contains a UserName field in RTF format.
When opened in Writer the field gets updated with the current LO users data.

Observe that the username field is not "Gabor Kelemen2013" but whatever you set
in the LO Options - User data.
Also there are two other instances of this field with Uppercase and Lowercase
formatting set in Word, which are missing not just on opening, but even when
you try to insert a new field - so this would be a separate issue.
