            Bug ID: 148867
Summary: The difficulty to select a whole Table in order to
                    manipulate its properties
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Selecting a whole table is difficult.

I propose, that a five-fold click somewhere in a cell selects the whole table.
One might then manipulate its properties.

Presently a four-fold click selects everything in the cell.

If a five-fold click is judged impractical, alternatively, one could provide a
click together with one of the "modifier keys" (Shift, Ctl, Alt) or a
combination of them or a new function "select whole table" in the context menu.

Which one takes, is ultimately a matter of taste. But we need a function, with
which one can select quickly and reliably the whole table, which is prticularly
difficult if it extends over many pages. Selecting its content from the
beginning to the end is sometimes terribly time-consuming.

So far I know only one way via the navigator: Select the table under "Tables",
then context menu>Select.
