Seems like a HiDPI and Skia Vulkan issue. Use the checkbox to 'Force Skia software rendering' to place it in Frame based raster mode, rather than Vulkan vector rendering mode. Retest. Also please reset your os Display Settings -> Display Resolution down to 1920x1080 and start LO. See how that renders the Slide pane previews. Also, on a 4K display you should be changing the icon theme to use 'Colibre (SVG)'--done from Tools -> Options -> View. The packaged PNG icons of the standard 'Colibre' set do not scale much beyond 175% without pixilation.
