Priority: medium
Bug ID: 62352
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Copied chart is empty when source data table structure
is not in a continuous range
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: x86 (IA32)
Status: NEW
Version: 4.0.0.3 release
Component: Chart
Product: LibreOffice
Created attachment 76539

example ods copy source and target ods with empty charts
If I copy chart from Calc into another(!) document it does not have data only
the empty grid (coordinate system) when source data of chart is given in
non-continuous range:
collabel1 collabel2 collabel3 collabel4
rowlabel1 2 3 4 5
rowlabel2 4 5 3 4
rowlabel3 3 5 6 3
ro1lable4 3 5 4 2
I have faced with this issue 1st when I have created a chart where internal
lines had the details and I wanted to plot only sums of details so I had to
define more than one source data range.
The problem is independent from target so I guess data is losing during copying
to clipboard.
steps to reproduce:
1: create a source data table in Calc where the data to be plot in every 2nd
line only
2: create a chart where data range is defined as multiple ranges - empty lines
are closed out.
3: try to copy the chart into any kind of new document in any application like
LO, Word, Excel or Irfan view target is not important.
Current behaviour:
- Only the grid lines can be seen in the harget
Waited behaviour:
- chart should be copied with data
I cannot have earlier version of LO now only 4.0.0.3 Portable on 32 bit Win XP
but in the past in LO 3.6 I did not see such empty charts however I use the
same ods file now for my work.
