Bug ID: 149791
Summary: Writer crashes after editing a formula
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.2.7.2 release
Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: macOS (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
Every time I edit a formula in Writer, or create a new one, after exiting
equation editor, LibreOffice crashes on first mouse click afterwards (whether I
click on save, or on blank page, makes no difference). It happens with old
documents (that were created months and years ago) and with completely new
blank documents, ODT or DOCX alike.
After the crash, LO offers to recover the document, recovering is always
successful, nothing is lost, but this bug makes it really tedious to work on a
document with many formulas.
The problem first occurred a couple of updates ago, I'm not exactly sure, but
it was not before February 2022.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.open a writer document, or create a new one
2.double click on a formula to edit it, or create a new one
3.after editing, double click outside formula to close equation editor
4.click anywhere in the document
5.LO crashes
Actual Results:
LO crashes
Expected Results:
Continue editing the document
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
OpenGL enabled: Yes
