Confirmed. Calc produces a xlsl file, that cannot be read correctly.
Kingsoffice at Android tablet complains that the file cannot opened, while e.g
Gnumerics complains for my file:
Undefined number format id '43'
Undefined number format id '41'
Undefined number format id '44'
Undefined number format id '42'
Unexpected element 'workbookProtection' in state :
workbook
The xl/workbook.xml of my xlsl file contained at the beginning:
<workbook><fileVersion appName="Calc"/><workbookPr backupFile="false"
showObjects="all" date1904="false"/><workbookProtection/> ...
