Bug ID: 149848
Summary: Writer: Highlighting crops preceding italics
erroneously.
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.0 all versions
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
When highlighting characters in italics, the preceding italicized characters
are cropped erroneously, whereas setting the background color yields pristine
results.
Steps to Reproduce:
Consider the following to be an arbitrary sample:
1. Set font to Liberation Serif.
2. Type a capital 'K' in italics.
2. Type a capital 'L' and make the 'L' subscript (non-italic or italic).
3. Highlight both characters.
Actual Results:
The upper right serif of the 'K' is clipped erroneously. In general, the
previous character is truncated erroneously.
Expected Results:
Like the Background Color function does. (This is a bad workaround since it
colors the whole paragraph's background.)
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
Additional Info:
Use Microsoft Word as a possible reference.
