Bug ID: 149855
Summary: libreoffice calculating with the sum function is
fooled somehow by formatting bugs, that keep changing
back to default, I think
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.3.4.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
I sum calc a column of numbers. I had used a trial version of Excel on the
spreadsheet and found different sum. after the trial end on excel, I went back
to libreofficecalc this time I created a parallel column, and used a col a
times col b to generate the same totals in the suspect column. I then sum
calculated the same in the new column and get a different total. I cannot
understand the format looks the same, there are some minor differences between
the error column as I entered manually, the new column just uses hours x a
fixed number. I don't know how to recreate the issue, but it has happened
twice. The file can be sent for you to look at. I suspect a format issue.
The format is really bad, keeps changing from left to centered. Also when
selecting date format, it routine changes to default. Can't find default
settings. So I hope this is a start. But serious as I use to send invoice
statements to my clients. Can only say it seems not to sum one or more cells.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. used spreadsheet document so long time, have may times edited date to change
format, move cells around, move columns, like edit column by moving them to
create more order in my spreadsheet
2. calulated a sum function on a column of numbers, but doesn't sum all numbers
3.
Actual Results:
some cells are calculated
Expected Results:
correct addition of all numbers
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
Should send the file for errors. This is a serious issue.
