Bug ID: 150039
Summary: Feature Request (Calc): Multiple select of format
templates
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.3.4.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
If you want to delete a format template (right side panel, the buttons shows an
"A" with a brush) you can do it with [right click -> delete] or by pressing the
[delete] key.
You can only do this one by one though. You can not select multiple templates
and delete them all at once.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have an Excel file with quite a few conditional formats
2. Check the format presets
3.
Actual Results:
You can not select more than one format preset at a time
Expected Results:
You can select more than one format preset at a time
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
This problem was discovered when an Excel file from work was edited where
conditional formating was used quite heavily. Since there seems to be no format
template like there is on LibreOffice, ever condition got it's own format. The
count says 25'283 templates (YES, over twenty-five THOUSAND - see image). When
I want to clean this file and import it into LibreOffice there is no quick way
to get rid of them all at once.
Two thoughts:
- It would be a neat feature if you could replace all formats in one go with an
existing template or one that you create. The chosen template would get applied
to all uses of that format template
- It should tell you how many templates you are about to delete. If there are
more than like 10 it should ask you to avoid killing 25'000 templates by
accident.
