So, what do you see are not the last row(s) hidden, but new rows that are added to the spreadsheet. Rows number is 1048576 although you add or delete some rows. To test, type some text in A1048576, then delete some rows. You will see that the added text now are not in row 1048576, but 1048575 or up.
