That is fine, but advantageous to be on the 7.4 or master branch, especially with Silicon M2 as issue are more likely to be corrected in those than in the current "fresh" 7.3 release. The link provided in comment 1 will get you to project built releases. 7.4.0.2 is in pre-release but is available to use (and has most recent adjustments for macOS). Install the .dmg packages as any normal program, should not have any signature issues.
