Bug ID: 150761 Summary: Extremely Slow on Saving Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.4.0.3 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Impress Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: james.perreau...@gmail.com Description: Linux Mint 20.3 Cinnamon Kernel 5.4.0-125-generic AMD Phenom II x6 1090T processor x 6 7.7 GB Ram Issue: Occurance. When the Libre Office App (Impress) saves documents it can take up to 45+ seconds to do anything saving the document to a SSD Hard Drive. It's more noticable on documents that are larger than 6 MB Big. Steps to Reproduce: 1. For Any Impress document larger than 2 MB, the issue begins to appear. The system freezes until the auto-save finishes. Manually saving also causes issue to appear. It's kind of a deal breaker. 2. Same issue on Ubuntu. See lots of posings in Windows as well. 3. Actual Results: Opened a document while either creating or editing a presentation, the autosave feature freezes the application. You are forced to wait for up to a minute before it responds again. Only Libra Office Apps appear to do this. Expected Results: Saving and with in 5 seconds have the app finish. I'm not sure why the delay is so long. Especially when using faster multicore systems with Solid State hard drives. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: [Information automatically included from LibreOffice] Locale: en-US Module: PresentationDocument [Information guessed from browser] OS: Linux (All) OS is 64bit: yes -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
