That's the normal procedure. If a bug is a duplicate, bug report itself is
marked as RESOLVED, although the bug of course is not resolved.

Everybody can take a bug and fix it. That's the idea of a community. So feel
free to fix it as a lot of volunteers fix bug.

Yes there is a communty, but most of the developers are not paid, but they do
it as volunteers.And every developer is free to take the bug he/she likes.

Sad to read this. I assume you know, that they only fix a couple of bugs per
year.
