          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 62823
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: : Mixes up ß and ss in search (German localisation)
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Windows (All)
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: Other
        Whiteboard: BSA
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.0.1.2 release
         Component: UI
           Product: LibreOffice

Problem description: When I search for "ß" (German name "scharfes s", unicode
U+00DF (223), just in case it is not shown correctly), LibreOffice finds both
"ß" and "ss". When I search for "ss", it does the same.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Use German localisation of LibreOffice
2. Use document (text or spreadsheet) containing ß and ss
3. search for ß or ss

Current behavior: can't distinguish ß and ss in search

Expected behavior: when searching for ß find only ß, when searching for ss find
only ss (they are different letters! When checking all ß in an old document to
see if they have to be changed according to the German spelling reform, this
bug at least triples the work).

Operating System: Windows 7
Version: 4.0.1.2 release
