I concur with Valdas. An option like this would be very helpful. Thank you, Brenda, for reviewing and triaging this bug! I think it might be a good idea to also implement a global setting that controls all insertion methods (drag and drop, copy-paste, insert from file dialog, and gallery). For now instead of using the "insert image from file" dialog you might find it faster to directly drag and drop the images into the document while holding down CTRL+SHIFT.
