1. Create a new text document
2. Insert -> Chart
3. Exit chart in-place editing, and simply select the chart in Writer
4. File -> Export; select PNG; check "Selection"; OK
5. Note the dimensions are shown to be 0. Press OK.
=> An error is shown:
> Error saving the document Untitled 1:
> General Error.
> General input/output error.
Tested with Version: 7.4.2.3 (x64) / LibreOffice Community
