I just restarted in safe mode and reset factory settings (checking both boxes under that heading.) Nothing changed with my ability to open older documents 2.) I followed somebody's and changed /4/user to 4/user-old Tested: opening new documents are fine, but older ones - we're back to sluggish not opening...
