Conditional formatting applied as appears display or in edit

When I installed release 7.4.2.3 on my MacBookPro (14in, 2021)Apple M1 Pro
chip, all of the conditional formatting in several spreadsheets was lost. I
tried to create the same condition using current conditional formatting
feature. I determined that when I conditionally format all cells in a range
that are >0 to be a certain color (e.g., bright red), the cell is displayed in
red only when I am editing a particular cell, rather than always displaying all
cells >0 in that color.
