            Bug ID: 151948
Summary: EDITING CELL contents have two behaviors for HOME key
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.4.2.3 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

THE PROBLEM:

- State 1: HOME to the first column of the sheet:

If you click in a cell (say at column C for example), and ENTER EDIT MODE by
typing a letter, now if you press HOME key your cursor will be sent to column
A.

- State 2: HOME to the first letter inside a cell:

If you ENTER EDIT MODE by pressing F2 key, now if you press HOME key the cursor
will move to the first letter of the cell you are editing.

I believe having 2 states giving different behaviors for the navigation keys
are confusing (HOME, ARROWS as well, etc.)

THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:

- State 2, editing the cell and keep the cursor moving within the edited text
is the expected behavior.

- If you want to navigate the sheet by using State 1, you should first press
ESC to exit EDITING MODE.

Thanks for looking into it.
