--- Comment #1 from Stéphane Guillou (stragu)

Trying to clarify: do you mean that when you choose to print and go to the
LibreOffice Impress tab in the dialog, you pick "Type: Notes" (_not_
"Handout"), and would like to have the notes on the right of the slide?

Currently it is possible to change to landscape ("General" tab > Page layout >
Orientation: landscape), but it is true that we could have an extra option in
the LibreOffice Impress tab, e.g. called "Notes position", with at least the
options "Below" and "Right" (but could be all 4 positions?)

As for the issue of truncated notes, I don't have this issue as when I choose
"Type: Notes", and leave paper orientation at "Automatic", the orientation
automatically changes to portrait in the preview, the notes have plenty of
space, and the printed out page looks the same. Maybe it is a mac-specific
issue?

Please provide us with the information in Help > About LibreOffice, and precise
steps with the settings you use in the print dialog.

I tested with:

Version: 7.4.2.3 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 382eef1f22670f7f4118c8c2dd222ec7ad009daf
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

and
