https://help.libreoffice.org/latest/en-US/text/shared/optionen/01060300.html

There are two places.

General > Input settings

Press Enter to switch to edit mode

1.
// Original //
Uncheck this option to make the Enter key [** select the cell below the current
cell **].

---
The default is correct.
However, The cell is selected according to the settings of [ Press Enter to
move selection ] .

2. And one more. Next line Warnig Description.

// Original //
If a range of cells is selected, each time Enter is pressed will select the
next cell inside the range. Hence, enabling [** this option **] is useful when
entering values into a range of cells sequentially.

---
[ this option ] is [ Press Enter to move selection ] , not [ Press Enter to
switch to edit mode ] .

It should be described below [Press Enter to move selection].

However, if both options are enabled, you need to be careful because they will
do a little interesting operation.
