Before Test execution…
Ran system diagnostics, see attached file: Bug152420-preTestProcessSample.txt.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. activate dictation in an open file (I have assigned the function to a
specific key)
ML:
a. I have set up dictation through the MacOS Settings>Keyboard>Dictation.
b. Keyboard shortcut assigned to OPTION+S.
c. Opened blank document from the Start Centre, saved as Test01.odt

2. begin speaking. Voice begins translating to text for a few words to a
line
MJL:
a. Dictated the following text:
Mary had a little lamb, Its fleece was white as snow,And every where that Mary
went, The lamb was sure to go ;He followed her to school one day—That was
against the rule,It made the children laugh and play,To see a lamb at school.
a. Clicked at the top left of the open Writer document.
b. Started dictation.
c. I was able to successfully dictact the text :”Mary had a little lamb…”
See Screen shot

3.the dreaded cloured balloon appears and spins forever more
MJL:
a. In my test configuration I am running Activity Monitor, BBEdit,
LibreOffice, Notes, Preview, Systems Settings, Termial and Finder.
b. I have captured the system Activity for LibreOffice, see
Bug152420-resultOfDictactionProcessActivity.png.

CONCLUSIONS:
a. I was not able to reproduce the identified problem.
b. Suggest capture the activity at the time the LibreOffice process
failed, and your hardware Oviewview from Apple>About this Mac> More Info>System
Report.
c. STATUS OF BUG: UNCONFIRMED.
