I ran some tests now, and I can not reproduce this behavior. I altered the file a bit using Mac OSX 10.8.3 with LibreOffice 4.0.2.2, saved it and reopened it without a problem using LibreOffice 3.6.5.2. Then I redownload the attachement, did a file -> save as ODS using 4.0.2.2, and reopened again using 3.6.5.2 ... again without that warning. @Jens: is it possible for you to send also a file which you can reproduce this behavior with (so I can compare the file you send a couple a days ago, with a file you have problems with).
