Adding a user defined date format, the cell takes the sample data as its

box closed.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type a date into a cell - try 1/1/23
2. Right click, format cells

4. Enter "MMM YY" as the format code - sample box shows "Dec 99"
5. Click OK

The cell in the spreadsheet now shows "Dec 99"
