Created a *.xlsx-file. Connected a database file to this *.xslx-file. Created a series letter for this database. Close LO, reopened LO, reopened the Writer file. Could switch to data source. Datasource is almost available. Tested with different LO versions (LO 7.4.3.2, also LO 7.3.6.2). No problem with data source. Might be this is a special problem of packages of your Linux distribution.
