Example file from Word 2016
Attached RTF file contains a paragraph where the style has dark blue shading
defined, overridden with direct formatting to "clear" (none) setting.
Opening this file in Writer shows the dark blue shading, ignoring the direct
formatting.

2. Notice the text has dark blue shading.
