The shaded rectangle in the scroll bar on the right side of the spreadsheet
that shows your current position in the spreadsheet is commonly referred to as
the "thumb". You click and hold on it with your mouse and then drag it up or
down to quickly reposition to anywhere in the spreadsheet. That is what I'm
referring to. You don't have to keep the mouse pointer on the thumb while you
do this, and while moving long distances is apparently when the program shuts
down.

I'm currently on a cruise and am using my laptop. I have tried to reproduce the
issue on this computer and can't. I use the trackpad on the laptop rather than
a mouse so that may be the difference.

When I return home I will update my software on my desktop and see if that
makes a difference.
