Also, my kill works directly. This makes me think that the problem may be that L-o waits for an external event, an interrupt from Windows. The long hanging, which reoccurs, first made me think that Writer is scanning the file system, registry or some other data sources. But this is probably not the case, as Performance Monitor shows passivity. Regarding the bug behavior: I checked further and found that the page settings dialogue also hangs. But the bullets and numbering dialogue opens fine. I believe that the basic character of this problem makes it feasible for a product analyst to identify relevant areas in the code. I now run 7.0.4.2 which does not have this problem on my old Win10 pc, but where the problems exist, and also appears on program start up, on my new Win10 pc.
