            Bug ID: 153187
Summary: It would be great, in Writer, if the Character and
Paragraph dialogs had an Apply button
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.4.3.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
This is a feature request.
It would be great if the Character and Paragraph dialogs used in Writer had an
Apply button.

Why?
When I highlight text and, for example want to change kerning. I must hit OK
and the window closes and if that's not right, open it and tweak some more.
This is unfriendly from the user's perspective. Being able to hit Apply while
the dialog window is still open and see the changes reflected immediately is
more in the way that a normal user would like to use the program. Scribus, for
example, does this with styles and such.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Select some text you want to format
2.Right-click, choose Character or Paragraph
3.Make changes repeatedly to tweak kerning or whatever

Actual Results:
Clicking OK, the dialog closes and must be reopened repeating the steps again
and again to tweak things.

Expected Results:
I hope to see an Apply button to click and see instant results without dialog
closing to only need reopening repeating the steps again and again.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Offered an Apply button and not close the dialog.
