            Bug ID: 153247
Summary: MAILMERGE: Writer to individual PDF files: hide
paragraph when data is empty does not work
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.3.2.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: macOS (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
In Preferences/LibreOffice Writer/Compatibility, there is a check box
« Masquer les paragraphes de champs de base de données (par ex. publipostage)
avec une valeur vide » translated with Google support as
"Hide database field paragraphs (e.g. mail merge) with empty value"
When saving individual files to ODF Text format, it works as expected.
When saving the same files to PDF format, it does not work : paragraph with
field with empty value is not hidden

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a Writer file for mailmerge
2.Insert a database field which may optionally be empty for some records
3.Activate mailing menu to save the results in individual files in PDF format

Actual Results:
When the database field is empty, PDF files shows the paragraph containing this
field

Expected Results:
When saving to ODF Text format, ODT files hide the paragraph containing an
empty database field

Reproducible: Always
