For example, say the list is in A2:A11, and the criteria to filter that range is in C2. What I am trying to say is that the name of the box, "Read Filter Criteria From" seems already confusing. A user could wonder: is this field/box aimed at the entire range to be filtered, or is the criteria by which to filter a certain range? The request to pre-fill the box with the selected range is entirely reasonable (as the default range for the field).
