Better description of "goes crazy" and "completely different position": This only happens sometimes, but more often than not. If you start in the upper left corner, drag to the bottom right and release mouse button, the complete circle is drawn in the correct position. Then, when you try to set the arc start point, the virtual circle position jumps to negative dimensions, meaning the top left corner is now the bottom right corner and all x and y coordinates are negated.
