Bug ID: 153442
Summary: Cannot set caption order for individual object types
in AutoCaption
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.2.7.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Tools - LibreOffice Writer - AutoCaption
Basic problem #1: Cannot select "Caption Order" separately for different
objects.
For example.
1. Select checkbox for LibreOffice Writer Frame and set Caption Order to
"Numbering First".
2. Then select checkbox for LibreOffice Writer Image and set Caption Order to
"Category First"
3. Then place cursor back on Frame.
Actual result: Caption Order is "Category First"
Expected result: Caption Order is "Numbering First"
In other words, the last Caption Order setting is applied globally, when it is
expected that it can be set locally for different objects.
Basic problem #2: The "Caption Order" setting is always changed by the value
selected in Insert Caption - Options - Caption Order.
For example.
1. In Tools - LibreOffice Writer - Autocaption, select checkbox for LibreOffice
Writer Frame and set Caption Order to "Numbering First".
2. Select an image in a Writer document, then Insert - Caption - Options and
set Caption Order to "Category first", then Ok.
Actual result: Caption Order in Autocaption is changed to value set
in Insert - Caption - Options dialog.
Expected result: Options dialog does not affect setting in Autocaption.
Have reported these two problems together, because they seem related, but can
make a separate ticket if necessary.
