Bug ID: 153474
Summary: Add a property to control text's breaks as it exists
in graphical terminal emulator
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.4.5.1 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
Hello. The format that is applied to the text and characters inside a graphical
terminal emulator –Bash for instance– has these properties:
- left-sided text alignment
- hyphenation disabled
- mono-spaced font
- each row of a one-lined text whose total characters' length is several times
wider than a terminal row's width, is entirely filled by a part of the text
which, once it reaches a end of row, breaks there.
See attachment.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Choose a style with these properties:
- left-sided text alignment
- hyphenation disabled
- mono-spaced font
2. Insert into document various one-lined texts whose total characters' lengths
are several times wider than Writer row's width.
Actual Results:
When it comes to Writer, it seems to me that it lacks an option to control that
latter property. Also noticeable in the two illustrations in the snapshot of
the document, is the inconsistency of the rules that govern the breaks.
See attachment.
Expected Results:
Introduction of the above depicted property.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
