            Bug ID: 153616
Summary: Writer hangs on opening a doc(x)file; have to stop
                    Word services; NEW
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.5.0.2 rc
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
When I open an existing DOC(X) the file association in my Windows 10 (with all
& latest updates) will automatically open LibreOffice Writer (current version).
After it's start with the Writer logo and then an empty white window, there is
a green line visible below in the further white Writer window, with "loading
document" to the left of it. The green line is appr. 80%, the rest is not
filled green. Then Writer stops/hangs.
But I see 2 services started, both Word related. These services were not
started before the start of Writer.
And after stopping these 2 services, Writer continues, as if nothing is wrong.

Not using hardware acceleration has no effect. This was suggested on the
internet.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open a docx in Windows.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Writer hangs on opening the docx.
2 Word services are started, (one of) these seems to prevent Writer from
opening file/continuing.

Expected Results:
just open Writer with the docx

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Windows 10 version is up to date, Libreoffice version is op to date.
I have not installed MS Office by myself, but Office 365 is present from
installation Windows. File associations in Windows seems ok, e.g. docx opens
Libreoffice.
