You have to activate with Tools -> Options -> Advanced 'Enable experimental features (may be unstable)' Also, do not make use of the Tools -> Options -> Personalizion 'Preinstalled Theme' selections. Use only the 'Default look, do not use Themes' radiobutton. Otherwise seems to be bug 151756, and Windows Dark mode theme support is enabled by default in the 7.5 release and already improved further for the 7.6 trunk--with backports to 7.5 for much of the effort.
