          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 63496
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Comments in .doc files lose their highlights when a
document is saved, closed and then re-opened.
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux (All)
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.0.2.2 release
         Component: Writer
           Product: LibreOffice

Problem: A new feature added to LibreOffice is the ability to highlight words
or sentences and attaching a comment to them versus simply having the commented
area pointed out with an arrow. This works until the .doc document is saved,
closed and re-opened. When that happens the comments revert back to how they
previously were, that is, just being underlined not highlighted.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a new document, type some text.

2. Highlight the text and insert a comment. The text will be highlighted and
your comment will appear in the page margin with an arrow point out the
comment.

3. Save the document as a .doc file and close LibreOffice Writer.

4. Re-open the .doc file.

5. The comment remains but it is no longer highlighted.
