Priority: medium
Bug ID: 63519
Keywords: regression
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: EDITING: Commented sentences are considered as
read-only elements when copied if a comment was
associated, can't be deleted
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.0.2.2 release
Component: Writer
Product: LibreOffice
Problem description:
Commented sentences (a single character or a full sentence to which a comment
was added) are considered as read-only elements and can't be deleted if they
were moved or copied in the text. The comment itself can be deleted, the
characters in the sentence can be deleted, but the two tags (begin and ending)
can't be deleted because they are forming a read-only element.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Select a word and attach a comment on it.
2. Select the word, copy it and paste it somewhere else.
3. Try to delete the copied word.
Current behavior:
Its content can be deleted, so can be the comment itself. However, if you
remove the comment, the sentence will be highlighted in grey. This can't always
be deleted.
Expected behavior:
It shouldn't be considered as a read-only element and it should be possible to
delete it anytime.
Operating System: Linux (Other)
Version: 4.0.2.2 release
