I think it is not a bug. The "." is part of regular expressions, and function EQUIV (MATCH in English) use regular expression. Two options to make your formula work: - Search for "\." (Search interprets the special character that follows the "\" as a normal character and not as a regular expression) - Disable regular expression in Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice calc - calculate.
