Case 1: 1.1) Fill in cells A1:A6 and B1:B6 with values from 1 to 6 1.2) Merge in each column cells 2 and 3 with "Keep contents of hidden cells" option 1.3) Merge cells 4 and 5 similarly to paragraph 1.2 1.4) Select cells A1 and A2 1.5) Pull down to A8 1.6) We observe how cell A4 is equal to half of the cell with the value 4 of column B. Case 2: 2.1) Undo action 1.5 2.2) Select cells A1 and A2 2.3) Drag down to cell A4 2.4) We observe how the values of cell A5 overlap each other This is not a completely correct display.
