Bug ID: 154126
Summary: Writer: Drawing object not positioned at very bottom
of paragraph
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.4.5.1 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]

Created attachment 185901

One line of paragraph text always below drawing object
Frames can be positioned anywhere in the page through the Position settings in
the Type tab.
One of the vertical positions is "Bottom" relative to some reference, either
Paragraph text area or Entire paragraph area (including spacing above and
below). "Bottom" option aligns bottom frame boundary either with bottom text
limit or paragraph bounding box bottom limit and wrap mode moves paragraph text
above the frame according to its setting.
Draw is used to create an image. This image is made a single block with the
Group command. It is copied and pasted into Writer. It is expected this drawing
object will behave as a frame (since the same settings can be applied) albeit
you can't apply a frame style to a drawing object.
The attachment shows that a drawing object can't be positioned at the very
bottom of a paragraph. There is always an orphan line below the drawing object.
Changing wrap mode has no effect. Choosing bottom alignment relative to
Paragraph text are or Entire paragraph area does not change the result.
Drawing object position should be controllable the same as frame, at least when
a single block is inserted.
