The issue also exists when opening a file I downloaded in the browser, through the browser interface. (I am using the Opera browser.) It doesn't happen when double clicking on Office files in the desktop or file browser (either Windows Explorer or XYplorer). Also, I'd like to clarify that this doesn't happen only when I try to open MS Office files, which my original post might imply.
