Sorry, I don't recall where I got the font from. It probably was included with
some Adobe software. But as far as I see, the problem (at least the font naming
problem) also exists with the free TeX Gyre Fonts, available from
http://tug.org/mactex/. For instance, "TeX Gyre Pagella" is only accessible as
"TeXGyrePagella" from LibreOffice 4.0.1.

Actually, now LibreOffice 3.6.5.2 lists both naming variants (maybe because LO
4.0.1 changed the font cache?). LO 4.0.1 still only lists the shortened name.

I am sure the problem is within LibreOffice 4.0.1. The font name (as displayed
by LibreOffice) is different, depending whether I use LibreOffice 3.6.4 or
4.0.1. The font file itself contains both string variants, but "Garamond
Premier Pro" is the font name as displayed by the OS X font book and font
panel. In any case, the affected fonts are all OTF fonts.
