Format -> Text -> lowercase simply replaces uppercase characters with their
lowercase counterparts. It does not apply any additional *property* to the
affected text. And this text behaves like any other normal text, e.g.
autocorrect rules affect it.

What you observe in #3 is "Capitalize first letter of every sentence"
autocorrection rule (Tools->AutoCorrect->AutoCorrect Options, tab "Options").
Its effect is completely unrelated to the previous "Format -> Text ->
lowercase".

This is not a bug.
