            Bug ID: 154422
           Summary: Handling of languages
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.6.0.0 alpha0+ Master
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
It is not clear to me what happens when one selects a language for which the
module has not been loaded. (But it has been in the OS.) English is my main
language, but I do need Afrikaans often, and sometimes German.
One can change the language of a paragraph (or selection using the bottom
border option), but no warning is given.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.select text
2.change language
3.

Actual Results:
nothing

Expected Results:
there should be a warning that the language model has not been loaded.

Ideally, should default to OS language options (why is it necessary to maintain
multiple dictionaries? Unnecessary redundancy.)

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
[Information automatically included from LibreOffice]
Locale: en-GB
Module: TextDocument
[Information guessed from browser]
OS: Linux (All)
OS is 64bit: yes
