Similar to RFE of bug 125443, fair to say that satisfying this request would
require CSD cross platform.

With CSD implemented (bug 113388), doing a per document decoration would be
feasible. 

Without CSD the only "hints" during multi document editing are LO module (via
the colored icons), and the file name.  os/DE then provides the support.

Meanwhile an arbitrary color per document could be applied to the app
background, but that would not help too much when the document is minimized as
os/DE supports.

Only a full CSD framework would support it, and honestly I'd rather see the dev
effort put into the framework needed for functional MDI (of bug 37134)

IMHO this would more correctly be dupe of work needed for bug 113388
