I use two fonts: Open Sans and Open Sans Semibold.
Open Sans is embedded and used on the presentators machine, but Open Sans
Semibold needs to be installed on Windows separately.
Presentation is created on Linux Mint Debian edition Bullseye with Impress 7.0,
presentators machine is Windows 11 with Impress 7.5.2.2.
I played with the font export settings in "Properties", same behaviour on all
variations.
