Stéphane Guillou (stragu) <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution|--- |NOTABUG Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED --- Comment #3 from Stéphane Guillou (stragu) <[email protected]> --- It took me a little to understand what it does, but now I see it is not a duplicate of the Delete Point function and needs to be kept: - Delete Points is an action that deletes the points in selection. - Eliminate Points is a mode that can be toggled on or off to automatically remove points that are considered to be superfluous because the segment they are a part of are very close to a straight line. Consider a use case: you have a complex polygon that you are modifying, moving points around. With the Eliminate Points mode on, you can automatically remove points you just moved when they don't add much to the overall shape of the polygon. Marking as "not a bug" although I'm sure the documentation could do with some improvements. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
